April 2012: Authors Taking Prompts

If you are an author looking for people to give you some prompts for inspiration, this post is for you!

Fandoms I'm excited about right now: Gundam SEED/Destiny/Astray, Kiddy Grade, Saint Seiya

Characters and ships I want to work with:
Gundam SEED: ANYONE
Kiddy Grade: Anyone
Saint Seiya: I'll do best with the five main Bronzes, and the Golds probably minus Shaka. Also, Julian + Marina because I've just re-read and been kinda squee. Please feel free to ask and we can chat about characters?

Themes and genres I like: Giant robots, musing on giant robots, interpersonal relationships, trios, needing to adjust to life after a big adventure/war/etc. Stories where characters who were killed off either get brought back or luckily survived somehow(sometimes a little worse for wear). I like happy endings. M/M, M/F, F/F, and combinations are all A-OK.

Anything I'd prefer not to write: dub/noncon, infidelity, and in all honesty you'd probably get mixed-to-poor results asking for anything kinkier than fuzzy handcuffs. Prompts from songs/songfics.

Anything else I want to add: While I don't need an entire paragraph, I prefer prompts that are more than a word or two.

Shion and Dohko! Any canon, any time, doing anything. ~ But being that it's those two, the "adjusting to the aftermath" of the Holy War shown in Lost Canvas - being the only two survivors of the war, and having duties that keep them apart - that's the painfully shining core of this OTP for me.

*melts of happiness simply from the prospect of being able to ASK for these two from someone who knows who they are*.

I would also adore genfic with Shion and Hakurei, or Shion and Yuzuriha. ~ Even Shion just repairing Cloths would make me burble happily. ~ Or old Shion taking care of Mu. Or ...

(And yes, these prompts are stolen from my Dear Yuletide Author letter, but only because I've been doing Yuletide on and off since 2005 and I ask for Shion and Dohko every time and it's never been the choice.)
