[tagging/organizing note for the mod - "Star Ocean: The Last Hope" and "Star Ocean 4" are the same fandom. ^^]
It's the least she can do to repay him, after the mistake she's made chasing him this far -- and the worse mistake she would have made, if he hadn't been working so hard to bring her the truth, to bring her Lucien's last words. He's nothing like she thought, after all; Edge's faith in him was sound.
The Earthlings have finished saying their goodbyes, before they split up to tackle the Phantom threats. Myuria pulls herself together and holds her head high as she strides over to Crowe. "Prepared for departure already?" she says.
He flinches, a tiny motion barely visible around his eyes. "I am sorry," he says. "I wish I could have saved him. Wish I had more to offer you."
Myuria shakes her head. "You gave me his last words," she says. She's still trembling, and wills herself to stop. "I'm glad for that."
"Still," he says. Just like Edge, carrying too much responsibility himself, though it doesn't weigh him down quite as badly.
"If you still feel you need to do more," Myuria says, "then be sure you come back safely." She leans forward, stretches up just slightly, and kisses him. Crowe holds perfectly still until her lips meet his, then kisses back warmly, almost tenderly. Quite the gentleman. "Good luck," Myuria says when she steps back.
